Born On Accident, Living on Purpose
While producing “Go Slow” for Silence Unknown Callers, producer/songwriter Edward Zeimis received a very safe drum track from drummer Fernando Moncada. He encouraged Fernando to jazz it up a bit but Fenrnando took it a bit too far.
While it wasn’t right for the Silence Unknown Callers version, Zeimis decided to produce a jazz version of the song, keeping the original vocals from Italy’s Dee Wolf and piano from South Korea’s Suwon Yim, but removing everything else from the original and, along with Moncada’s jazzed up Argentinian drums, he also added trumpet and double bass from Hungary’s Bence and Serbia’s Miladin respectively.
In love with the jazz version of “Go Slow” even more than the original, Zeimis decided to dig into his favorite songs of old and one by one had this newly assembled yet scattered across the globe group of talented musicians begin laying down tracks for a collection of covers.
“Unus” — the first collection of covers — is nearing completion and will be released in 2024.
